Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Tipping Maples LLC (“Tipping Maples,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with this corporate website, tippingmaples.com (the “Site”) — our contact forms, correspondence, and any newsletter we may operate. It covers the company, not our products.
If you use the MusicianOS app or the muos.app platform, this page does not govern you. Those products have their own privacy policy, described below, and it controls how your account, content, and usage data are handled there.
The short version
This Site is an informational website about the company. It does not require an account, it does not host user content, and we do not sell or rent your personal information. If you email us, we use your message only to respond. That is essentially the whole policy — the sections below add the detail.
Information we collect
- Information you choose to send us. If you write to us (for example, at info@tippingmaples.com), we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond to you and to keep a record of our correspondence.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard request information — such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and timestamps — to operate and secure the Site. We do not use this data to build profiles about you.
- No advertising or tracking cookies. The Site does not set advertising cookies or use cross-site tracking. If we add privacy-respecting analytics, or a newsletter sign-up, in the future, we will update this policy first.
How we use information
We use the limited information above to respond to inquiries, to operate, maintain, and secure the Site, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not use it for automated decision-making or advertising.
How information is shared
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Site (such as our website hosting provider), and only as needed for them to provide their service, or where required by law or to protect our rights.
Our products are governed separately
Tipping Maples LLC is the company; MusicianOS is a service it operates. This corporate Site intentionally does not restate product policy — the product policies are the authoritative version, kept in one place so they cannot drift out of sync with this page.
At a high level, MusicianOS involves two different data arrangements. For the free app and its Plus and Pro tiers, your songs, charts, lyrics, and recordings are stored on your own device and in your own private Apple iCloud account — we never receive that content and have no way to access, restore, or delete it, so we are neither a “controller” nor a “processor” of it under data-protection law. For the optional Pro+ web platform, content an artist chooses to publish to a public page, along with booking messages, live audience requests, and tips, is hosted on servers we operate — there, we are the controller and this corporate page does not apply to that data. The full explanation, including the legal basis for each category and how to exercise your rights, is in the product policy, not here:
- MusicianOS Terms of Service
- MusicianOS Privacy Policy — describes how the app, including the optional Pro+ web platform (muos.app), handles your content and any information collected.
- MusicianOS DMCA / Copyright Policy
- MusicianOS Acceptable Use Policy
- MusicianOS Repeat Infringer Policy
Tipping Maples LLC is also the U.S. Copyright Office–registered DMCA service provider for MusicianOS. Our designated agent contact is published on this Site’s DMCA / Copyright Notice page, as required by law; the notice-and-takedown process itself is handled at the link above.
Advisory engagements are governed by the separate written agreement we enter into with each client, which controls how any information you provide for that engagement is handled.
Data retention
We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to maintain reasonable business records, and our hosting provider retains standard server logs for a limited period for security and reliability. You can ask us to delete correspondence you have sent us, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Your choices
Because this Site collects so little, your main control is straightforward: you decide whether to contact us. You may ask us to access or delete the messages you have sent us by emailing info@tippingmaples.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor valid requests.
Children
The Site is intended for a general business and professional audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
